Komodo Infrared Spot Bulbs are produced using deep red glass rather than a spray coating a clear bulb with red paint. The low levels of light produced by these bulbs is ideal for night time heating of diurnal species as it will not interrupt their natural sleep pattern, they can be used 24hrs a day with certain nocturnal reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates that are sensitive to bright daylight this can encourage activity during the day and allows for easy viewing at night.

90% of the energy used by this bulb is emitted as beneficial warming infrared rays, which together with the design of the infrared spot bulb helps to efficiently direct heat to a desired location.  When positioned in an appropriate location this enable optimal thermoregulation within your animal.
