These  Lovely brown leaves come from the Terminalia catappa tree

Throughout history, Indian almond leaves have been a mainstay in traditional medicines. Juice of leaves is used in the preparation of ointment for SCABIES, leprosy, SCABIES and other cutaneous diseases. ( HECK!)

It can be used in Aquariums to help fight bacterial and fungal infections in fish and also has been found to be effective in lowering the pH level of water and creating a natural environment for your fish to thrive in.

The SCABIE thing is apparently Real!

When submerged in the water, the leaves degrade and release tannins into the water. This creates a yellow or brownish water ( kinda like Tea).

Each packet contains approx 20 lovely SCABIE killing leaves.

The tannings the leaves produce are said to have natural antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.

Many shrimp keepers report better overall health when Indian almond leaves are in the tank. They can encourage breeding behaviour ( In Fish and Shrimp) and a better survival rate for shrimplets as it creates a perfect place for biofilm to grow ( baby shramp food).

Just put a leaf in the water or break one up, no more than one big meaty leaf per 20-40 litres is recommended .. Just check the pH each day over the first week.
